Twilight’s Carlisle Cullen among top 10 fictional dads

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: “If you have to pick a dad to spend centuries with, Carlisle is the one to choose,” says Next Movie of Twilight Saga vamp Carlisle Cullen (played by Peter Facinelli). The fictional character ranked #10 in Next Movie’s list, “13 Movie Dads We Wish Were Ours”.

Continues the article, “His capacity for kindness means he won’t spend the centuries lecturing you, reminding you of that one time you scratched his car. He’ll probably just give you a big hug, and remind you that time washes everything away, and the material is immaterial. Oh, and he’s loaded (Forbes estimates his fortune to be $34.5 billion).”

Other notable dads on the list included Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) of The “Vacation” films and Atticus Finch (Gregory Peck) “To Kill a Mockingbird”. Winning the distinction of top dad was Chris Gardner (Will Smith) of the true story “The Pursuit of Happyness”.
