Ryan Seacrest a possible replacement for Regis?

By Sean O’Connell So who will fill Regis Philbin’s massive shoes when the television icon steps down from “Live!” in November?

Reportedly, Disney/ABC has their list narrowed down to three possible replacements.

“American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, Bravo exec Andy Cohen (who also hosts “Watch What Happens: Live”), and Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, are the three candidates most likely to succeed Philbin, THR reports.

The trade speculates that Cohen and Consuelos “may have the upper hand when it comes to chemistry with the actress,” as she’s married to one and has appeared on TV often with the other.

But an ABC spokesperson said that it’s “ridiculous at this point to be speculating about who will replace him” because it’s still too early in the game.
