Liv Tyler updates her “Hobbit” involvement

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: With so many original “Lord of the Rings” cast members returning to the fold for Peter Jackson’s “Hobbit” – from Sir Ian McKellen and Orlando Bloom to Elijah Wood and the lovely Cate Blanchett – some might be wondering what happened to Liv Tyler … especially with the recent addition of Tyler lookalike (and equal cutie Evangeline Lillie).

So ComingSoon asked the actress about her possible involvement in an exclusive, and revealing, interview.

“I actually don’t know a lot about it and I haven’t talked to Fran or Peter or Philippa at all,” she told the site. “I’ve seen some of the other actors, but you probably know more than I do, but I had such an amazing time making that movie. I wish that I could be in it.”

So it sounds like Tyler’s out, though Jackson keeps adding new cast members even though the production began shooting weeks ago. It’s not over until it’s over, but it sounds like Tyler’s character, Arwen, will not be making a cameo in the two-part “Hobbit” film when it comes out in 2012 and 2013.

Apologies. I saw that this was from 13 hours ago. Apparently she said exactly the same thing word for word that she said from last year. Or maybe ComingSoon.net is trying to rack up hits on their site, lol.
