Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez “Expecting” comedy co-stars

By Sean O’Connell The comedic adaptation of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” is expanding.

First, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez were tapped to headline an ensemble comedy in the vein of “Valentine’s Day” or “He’s Just Not That Into You,” which follows a handful of couples as they work their way through comically complicated pregnancies.

Now Vulture reports that Isla Fisher is negotiating for a part previously offered to “Bridesmaids” star Kristen Wiig (who’s tied up with “Saturday Night Live”) and Ed Helms may grab a part offered to “Glee” star Matthew Morrison.

Adding those two talents will only help what is shaping up to be a decent ensemble so far. We’ll be anxious to see how this production develops as it heads toward a 2012 delivery date.
