Anna Paquin is the “Hollywood T.V. Star of the Week”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Enough talk about Snookie. That “Jersey Shore” troll can stay in Italy, as far as we’re concerned. Turn you attentions, instead, to Sookie as the fourth season of HBO’s “True Blood” gets underway.

The reason we’re enamored with this telepathic creature is because she now has fairy blood. Well, that AND the fact that the beautiful Anna Paquin breathes such life into the character on a weekly basis. As Alan Ball’s series expands, our focus also remains laser-sharp on Paquin’s Sookie. And even though the “True Blood” world now includes shapeshifters, werewolves, Wiccans, Brujos and – of course – vampires, it’s Sookie who keeps us coming back season after season.

But Paquin has reason to celebrate. It was the “X-Men” franchise that gave her career a boost, and though she did not have a place in the series reboot, “First Class,” her professional arc has never been more pronounced. Paquin has found a place where intelligent TV lives – HBO – and she’s about to fire up a growing fanbase with fresh “True Blood” episiodes starting Sunday night.

For finding her place in this overcrowded television market, and for sinking her teeth into such a rewarding role, we are proud to announce that Anna Paquin is the “Hollywood T.V. Stars of the Week.”
