Rhianna “LOUD” tour says “Forget You” to Cee Lo Green

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: Looks like Cee Lo Green will no longer open for Rhianna’s “LOUD” tour, said a rep from his camp, citing competing priorities and other commitments. In addition to pursuing recording activity that will further Green’s own career, he remains on the hook for other projects, including his role as a coach and judge on NBC’s singing competition, “The Voice.”

Said Anne Watkins, a rep from Green’s management company, “With the requirements and time commitment to ‘The Voice,’ on top of heading back into the recording studio and an upcoming book, he feels that he wouldn’t give his fans the show that they deserve.”

What the Green camp didn’t discuss was the singer’s recent PR troubles brought forth by a number of tweets that were criticized as homophobic. It is likely that the media frenzy surrounding the mid-June Twitter controversy added to Green’s decision to drop his spot on Rhianna’s tour.

The “LOUD” tour, which had only 17 dates in the U.S. and Canada, commenced in early June and will run through mid-July. Rhianna’s camp has not commented, and no replacement act has been announced as yet.
