Oprah Winfrey receives honorary doctorate from South African school
HollywoodNews.com: Oprah Winfrey is continuing to be an inspiration to others as the University of the Free State in South Africa has decided to honor her.
Oprah received an honorary doctorate from the school where black housekeepers had been humiliated by students five years ago, states UsMagazine.com.
During her acceptance at the school, Winfrey called the housekeepers to the stage, calling them heroes. “What has happened here at Free State in terms of racial reconciliation, of peace, of harmony, of one heart understanding and opening itself to another heart is nothing short of a miracle,” Winfrey commented about the change.
