NBC’s “The Voice” announces summer tour

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Just because NBC’s “The Voice” is heading into its season finale tonight doesn’t mean you need to say goodbye to the overnight sensation.

Carson Daly confirmed on Tuesday’s episode that, much like with “American Idol,” the show’s finalists are going on tour this summer beginning July 27 at Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheatre. The tour will encompass six dates in venues that include Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, Chicago’s Rosemont Theatre, Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion, Wallingford’s Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre and New York’s Beacon Theatre, THR reports.

The “Voice” contestants who will appear are Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Javier Colon, Dia Frampton, Frenchie Davis, Casey Weston and Xenia.

However, the “Voice” coaches will not join them on tour, removing a crucial celebrity element that may help move tickets.

Here are the current dates and venues:

The Voice Live On Tour Dates include:

July 27th – Gibson Amphitheatre (Los Angeles, CA)

July 30th – MGM Grand Garden Arena (Las Vegas, NV)

Aug 2nd – Rosemont Theatre (Chicago, Il)

Aug 4th – Bank of America Pavilion (Boston, MA)

Aug 5th – Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre (Wallingford, CT)

Aug 6th – Beacon Theatre (New York, NY)
