Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner in new “Ghost Protocol” clip

Hollywoodnews.com: A teaser trailer for Brad Bird’s “Mission: Impossible” film, “Ghost Protocol,” has been making the rounds in various forms (most notably a French version of the action-packed clip). But now that the U.S. version is attached to Michael Bay’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” we’re able to bring you a clean copy that gives us a good idea of where the sequel’s heading in December.

It features an awful lot of Tom Cruise running away from explosions, which is what we’ve come to expect from this franchise. And while I’m a little disappointed that they are going with the “team disowned” angle once again, the stunts orchestrated by Bird (who helmed “The Incredibles”) do look incredible, including the one on the side of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai (pictured above).

Bird’s “Impossible” will be in theaters on Dec. 16. Cruise returns, and will be paired (or pitted against) Jeremy Renner, which only increases our interest in the project.
