“Twilight” underdogs Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene get 2011 Teen Choice Awards nods

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: This summer, Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene may get individual recognition for their Twilight Saga performances. Their “Eclipse” performances have been nominated for Choice Movie: Male Scene Stealer and Choice Movie: Female Scene Stealer, respectively, in the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. Typically, it is principal actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart who earn individual wins for their Twilight Saga work, with Taylor Lautner and miscellaneous villains earning other nominations.

Greene was a Teen Choice Award honoree in 2008 for her “Twilight” performance, winning the Choice Movie: Fresh Female Face category. However, Greene has not since been nominated by any awarding entity, whether for “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” or anything else. Per IMDB, Lutz has yet to be honored at, despite his status as a Twilight fan favorite. An awards ceremony like “Teen Choice” which is based not on critical acclaim but on voter recognition may give Lutz and Greene a shot at stepping forward.
