James Spader: New Boss on ‘The Office’

HollywoodNews.com: NBC has announced that Emmy-winner, James Spader, will be joining the cast of ‘The Office’ this fall. The actor will be reprising his role as CEO of Sabre, Dunder Mifflin’s parent company. The ‘Boston Legal’ star made an appearance last season and will replace Kathy Bates, who played Jo Bennett.

According the New York Post, producer Paul Lieberstein, who also stars as Toby Flenderson on the show, says, “James will reprise his role as Robert California, this uber-salesman that has a power to convince and manipulate, like a high-class weirdo Jedi warrior”.

It has not been confirmed as to who NBC will chose to replace Steve Carell full-time, “but a host of big names are reportedly vying for the job.”

Do you think James Spader will do well?
