Sneak previews of “Dallas” to air during TNT premieres

By Kim Palacios

hollywoodnews.com: Don’t want to wait until next summer to see a preview of the rejuvenated 80’s hit “Dallas”? TNT will air clips from the pilot on Monday during the season premieres of “The Closer” and “Rizzoli & Isles.”

The revival of the series (which is already slated for 10 episodes) will be led by original cast members Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray. The newer generation will include Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe (who have both appeared on “Desperate Housewives”) playing J.R.’s son Jon Ross and Bobby’s son Christopher, respectively. Jordana Brewster of “Fast & Furious” will play Elena, the love interests of Jon Ross Jr. and Christopher—this despite Christopher’s engagement to Rebecca (Julie Gonzalo of “Veronica Mars”).

Per the network’s official comments contrasting the original and current series, “The original Dallas aired from 1978 to 1991 and centered on the Ewing family, a cattle and oil dynasty occupying the expansive Southfork Ranch in Texas. The new version will focus on the Ewing offspring…as they clash over the family dynasty’s future.”
