Demi Lovato World Premieres “Skyscraper” Video

HollywoodNews.com: Hollywood Records recording artist Demi Lovato will world premiere her highly anticipated “Skyscraper” music video exclusively on E! News and on E! Online on Wednesday, July 13 at 7PM ET/PT and 11:30 PM ET/PT, along with an exclusive interview with Ryan Seacrest. July 14 marks the VEVO premiere.

Produced by Toby Gad (Beyonce, Fergie, Kelly Clarkson), the emotionally resonant “Skyscraper” illustrates Lovato’s personal journey of overcoming challenges by staying strong and believing in herself. The music video for “Skyscraper” was shot by acclaimed director Mark Pellington (Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson, The Fray). This past weekend, Demi posted her single image and title on her social networking sites, instantly becoming a worldwide Twitter Trend drawing over 2 million impressions on Facebook within 24 hours.

The long-awaited release follows an important year for Demi Lovato. After confronting personal issues head on, Lovato made the proactive decision to seek treatment and regain focus on her music career. Additionally, Lovato is currently partnering with the JED Foundation and Seventeen magazine on the “Love is Louder Than the Pressure to Be Perfect” campaign, addressing the various pressures many young people face. She has also joined Seventeen as a contributing editor, submitting regular pieces advising readers to “stay strong” and sharing strategies for maintaining a positive outlook.

Lovato’s forthcoming album, to be released this fall, is the long-awaited follow-up to the # 1 debut of 2009’s Here We Go Again and the #2 debut of 2008’s Don’t Forget. She has performed to arena crowds across the world, been nominated for an ALMA award, won both People’s Choice and Teen Choice awards and appeared on Good Morning America, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.
