Rebecca Black follows up “Friday” with “My Moment”

By Sean O’Connell Will the one-hit wonder have a second hit on her hands?

Rebecca Black, best known (actually only known) for her catchy, viral pop tune “Friday,” is getting ready to release a second song. “My Moment” will debut on the singer’s YouTube channel (naturally) and her official Web site on July 18 at 8 p.m. ET. The following day, the single will be made available in iTunes and other online outlets.

It will be interesting to see if Black’s “Moment” has passed, or if she’ll become the latest in a long line of pop artists (Justin Bieber, included) who have used social media tools to launch a music career.

THR adds that Black also is putting the finishing touches on a five-song EP, which she plans to release in August.
