Zooey Deschanel strikes back against ‘L.A. Times’ writer

HollywoodNews.com: Zooey Deschanel was recently dissed in a ‘Los Angeles Times’ op-ed piece where the writer apparently called her a “snobby cow.”

However, Deschanel is not taking the blow sitting down as she is responding to the remarks that came after the BAFTA dinner, states UsMagazine.com. “I never spoke to you at [the BAFTA dinner]; in fact, you weren’t even there,” Deschanel said about the writer who commented that the actress called downtown L.A. the worst part of L.A.

“I did make a reference to a parking lot adjacent to the [Belasco] Theatre that had a lot of trash in it in an attempt to be humorous,” Deschanel said about the event where Prince William and Kate Middleton were in attendance.

“I thought that the juxtaposition of British Royalty and trash was amusing in a high-brow + low brow sort of way, but I never said that I, personally, didn’t like downtown, the Royals, or even trash,” the actress continued.
