Natasha Lyonne orders a slice of “American Reunion”

By Sean O’Connell More “Pie” veterans keep coming back for the planned “American Reunion.” Though she had a small part in the original teen sex comedy “American Pie,” 32-year-old Natasha Lyonne has agreed to reprise her role of Jessica for the franchise’s fourth installment, Access Hollywood reports.

Lyonne, who has continued to work in smaller films, joins “Pie” alums Seann William Scott, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Biggs, Eugene Levy, Tara Reid, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Mena Suvari and Chris Klein in the sequel, which currently is filming in Atlanta.

As Access Hollywood notes, the actress has become more known for her off-screen exploits than her on-screen roles. She “pleaded guilty to driving to driving under the influence of alcohol after she drove a rented car onto a sidewalk in Miami Beach, Flor. in August 2001,” and later was “charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass and harassment in December 2004 after she allegedly entered her female neighbor’s apartment and threatened to ‘sexually molest’ the woman’s dog.”

That sounds like it could be a plot twist in a “Pie” sequel, actually.

“American Reunion” will be in theaters on April 6, 2012.
