Daniel Radcliffe Explains Drinking Problem On the ‘Today’ show Thursday, 21-year-old Daniel Radcliffe opens up about his struggle with alcohol. While the actor is currently busy promoting his film ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2’, he revealed to Ann Curry that he is happier without alcohol in his life.

The star explains in the interview that he is to blame for his problems and not peer pressure. “It was something that I thought to make myself interesting and to make myself enjoy, you know, my life,” Daniel admits. “I did become very reliant on it and I think it’s a moment when you realize that something that is ultimately destructive has crept into being a routine,” he adds.

According to OK magazine, the ‘Harry Potter’ actor says, “I stopped with the help of friends and family, and the last year has been a lot more manageable and a lot better. I feel happier.”

What do you think about Daniel’s decision to quit drinking?
