Shaquille O’Neal joining TNT’s NBA broadcasting team

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Maybe his next nickname will be The Big Broadcaster?

Confirming what most people expected – that the newly retired Shaquille O’Neal would end up as an NBA analyst – the basketball superstar just signed a multi-year agreement with Time Warner’s Turner Sports to ,work as an analyst on the network’s various NBA programs beginning with the 2011-12 season.

You know, if there actually is one.

THR adds that the deal also includes “a development deal with Turner’s entertainment and animation networks given O’Neal’s previous film and TV credits.” We can only hope a Kazaam cartoon is on the works.

“I can’t wait to begin my new career with Turner,” O’Neal said. “Over the past several years the team at Turner has taken the NBA and entertainment, in general, to a whole new level. I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the amazing team at Inside the NBA and I hope I can further the fans’ experience on a regular basis.”
