“Spider-Man” cover shot and teaser trailer info

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Do you want to know how I know San Diego’s Comic-Con is right around the corner? Because our Inbox is filled with superhero stories like this one.

Andrew Garfield, star of “The Social Network,” appears in his Spider-Man suit on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this week, but the mag posted a tease on EW.com. We have it below.

For those who don’t know, Garfield will be playing Peter Parker (and Spidey) in Marc Webb’s “The Amazing Spider-Man,” which will be out July 2012. But a trailer will screen at Comic-Con next week, and hit the Web (no pun intended) shortly after.

What do you think of the costume? Looks very modern. Sleek and modern. Different from Tobey Maguire’s more traditional suit in his three “Spider-Man” features with Sam Raimi.

SuperheroHype also confirms that Rhys Ifans will be playing The Lizard in the film, so the villain that has been “under wraps” is out in the open. One of the worst-kept secrets of all time.

Look for the “Spider-Man” teaser trailer some time next week!
