Harrison Ford supports killing off his characters, from Han Solo to Indy

By Sean O’Connell If Harrison Ford dons the fedora and picks up the whip for a fifth “Indiana Jones,” might he do everything in his power to ensure that it’s his final turn in the archaeologist’s saddle?

Right now, it’s a rumor, but Ford says he’d be open to killing Jones off after decades of seeing the hero on screen. While doing interviews for Jon Favreau’s “Cowboys & Aliens,” Ford tells EW that he “always want my characters to die,” from Han Solo to Jones.

“I thought Han Solo should have died at the end of the last ‘Star Wars’ movie, just because it seemed right for the character. And I’d be happy to make another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie — but at this point it’s all just rumors.”

Now THAT would be a way to finish the franchise … just so long as they don’t continue with Shia LaBeouf’s Mutt Williams in the lead.
