Beyonce Sends a Message to Space

HollywoodNews.com: Astronauts aboard the Atlantis got a special wake-up call on Friday from Beyonce herself. The astronauts were surprised when a clip of Beyonce’s hit song, “Rule the World”, came on in the shuttle late morning.

After the snippet, Beyonce’s voice said: “Good morning, Atlantis. This is Beyonce.” The singer added, “Sandy, Chris, Doug and Rex, you inspire all of us to dare to live our dreams, to know that we’re strong enough and smart enough to achieve them,” according to Access Hollywood.

Beyonce continued her message by dedicating the song to the woman astronaut onboard, Sandy. “This song is especially for my girl Sandy and all the women who’ve taken us to space with them and the girls who are our future explorers,” Beyonce added.

Sandy then made a call to Houston giving thanks to Beyonce for taking time out of her schedule to record a message for them. She said, “We’re ready for another day here in Atlantis! Hopefully we as a team at NASA can keep our inspirational work up for the young people of America.”
