Dennis Quaid “Expecting” a role in Cameron Diaz comedy

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: What can we expect from the upcoming ensemble comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting?” How about an all-star roster of comedians, character actors and superstars.

Dennis Quaid is the latest name added to the growing stable of actors being assembled by Lionsgate for the film. The studio reports that Quaid will play Brookly Decker’s husband (!!), and he’ll have to coach her through labor as she’s expecting twins.

Quaid and Brooklyn Decker, huh? The actor’s going to owe his agent a nice holiday bonus for helping to set that one up.

“Expecting” already has an impressive list of talent. Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez are the female leads. They will be surrounded by Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Banks, Decker, Quaid, Chris Rock, Chase Crawford and “Glee” star Matthew Morrison.

The comedy’s due date is May 11, 2012.
