Sarah Palin documentary “The Undefeated” adding more markets

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Sarah Palin’s documentary, which got off to a modest start last weekend, will be expanding to more theaters as producers continue to play to the politician’s base.

“Our objective is very simple: to bring this film to every market and every corner of the country,” said director Steve Bannon to THR as the film plans to expand.

The trade says “The Undefeated” will play Tucson, Ariz., West Palm Beach, Fla., Milwaukee, Wis., Charlotte, N.C., and Ontario, Calif. starting this weekend. The film also targets additional theaters in already-opened markets Atlanta and Phoenix, while also playing Dallas, Houston, Denver, Orlando and Orange, Calif.

“Given the audience response on our opening weekend, we now know we have a film that works. Our objective is very simple: to bring this film to every market and every corner of the country; starting with a limited theatrical release and then through an aggressive broader distribution strategy including streaming video, on-demand access and DVD,” Bannon said.
