“X-Men: First Class” Blu-ray date and details

By Sean O’Connell In a summer movie season chocked full of superhero efforts – from “Green Lantern” to “Thor” – it’s Matthew Vaughn’s “X-Men: First Class” that I’m most looking forward to seeing on Blu-ray.

Sounds like Sept. 9 will be my lucky day.

CraveOnline is reporting that 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment plans to release a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy package of the X-Men prequel, which stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as Charles Xavier and Magneto, respectively, during their difficult formative years.

The studio also is drumming up support with a humorous, “Twilight”-inspired Team Erik and Team Charles contest. Free t-shirts are involved (and who doesn’t like that?)

Here is a look at alternate box-cover art. Be sure to click the link above to find out how to score some choice “First Class” t-shirts by ordering the Blu-ray during San Diego’s Comic-Con.
