Shannen Doherty agrees to star in reality TV series

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Just when we get ready to wave the white flag on reality television and demand that Hollywood stop inundating us with useless TV shows, they go and get a “celebrity” we actually do want to spy on via our small screens.

Like Shannen Doherty, for instance.

The former witch on both “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Charmed” will document the steps leading up to her wedding to celebrity photographer Kurt Iswarienko on an eight-episode reality series for WeTV, US Magazine reports.

“It’s going to take a look at Shannen’s day-to-day life,” an insider says. “Her wedding happens to be a part of it because she is engaged and that takes up a lot of her time, but she’s also dealing with a huge issue involving her house and her insurance company.”

“You see the story of two families coming together,” says the source. “Whenever there’s a wedding, it’s not just the bride and the groom who are affected.”

Currently titled “The Shannen Doherty Project,” the show reportedly will go into production in August for an early 2012 premiere.

i think she should really just retire quietly. she was great in 90210 and charmed, but her time has been up for a while. http://bit.ly/owvy4t
