‘Glee’ Cast Members Talk About Amy Winehouse’s Death
HollywoodNews.com: In San Diego Saturday, some of the cast members of ‘Glee’, including Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr. and Dot Marie Jones, were among the many shocked and saddened fans mourning the loss of the late singer, Amy Winehouse.
When hearing the news of Amy’s death, Darren stated that he believed she “brought back a lot of soul to mainstream”. Jenna admitted to MTV News at Comic-Con 2011, “She’s paved the way for so many artists, so at least every artist can pay homage to her in some way,” according to MTV.com.
Fellow ‘Glee’ actor Harry revealed that the death is a tragedy, as her voice cannot be duplicated. Dot commented that “she hopes more attention is paid to Winehouse’s legacy as an artist than to her personal struggles,” MTV reports.
