Russell Brand reflects on Amy Winehouse
HollywoodNews.com: Russell Brand, a former addict, has been especially affected by Amy Winehouse’s recent passing and decided to put it into words.
Brand decided to write a blog post about getting to know her and see her lose in the end, states UsMagazine.com. “‘Jazz singer? She must be some kind of eccentric,’ I thought. I chatted to her anyway though, she was after all, a girl, and she was sweet and peculiar but most of all vulnerable,” Brand says about first meeting Winehouse.
However, he eventually saw that she was struggling with her addictions: “[H]er manner in our occasional meetings brought home to me the severity of her condition.”
