Reese Witherspoon’s “Wish List” granted at Disney
By Adam Frazier
Hollywoodnews.com: Reese Witherspoon (“Walk the Line”) is attached to star in “Wish List,” a Disney comedy about an overly imaginative girl who makes 10 wishes at a wishing well.
Unfortunately, the girl’s coin never reaches the bottom of the well and her wishes go ungranted. The wide-eyed girl eventually grows up to become an ambitious career woman, leaving her inner-child behind, Deadline reports. Twenty-five years later, the coin is jarred loose, falls to the bottom and she has to deal with the ramifications of 10 childhood wishes coming true all at once.
Sounds like “Big” meets “13 Going on 30” — or the more recent “17 Again.”
Initially, the comedy was developed as a vehicle for a male star, but now it’s being re-purposed for Witherspoon, who was last seen in “Water for Elephants.”
Reese next stars in the McG-directed “This Means War,” opposite Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.
