Jon Gosselin “relieved” that “Kate Plus 8” got canned

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: The reality TV series “Kate Plus 8” has been wiped off the slate.

TLC has pulled the plug on Kate Gosselin’s program, leading her ex-husband, Jon, to declare that he’s “relieved” his “family” can go back to a normal life.

“I hope they can have more private family moments,” Jon said of his children while speaking to US Weekly. “I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future.”

Mind you, these kids wouldn’t be famous if Jon and Kate hadn’t signed them up to be reality TV stars from the womb.

As for what Kate will do next now that camera crews won’t be following her night and day for the benefit of a curious TV audience?

“I have no clue,” Jon says. “I hope she dedicates more time to the kids now and I wish her the best as she goes forward with whatever career she wants to pursue.”
