“Glee Project” announces first-season winners

By Sean O’Connell Ryan Murphy changed the rules a bit as “The Glee Project,” a reality series on the Oxygen network, came to a close.

Both frontrunners Samuel Larsen, 19, from Los Angeles and Damian McGinty, 18, from Northern Ireland walked away as grand prize winners. The Boston Herald reports that they will receive a seven-episode guest arc on the next “Glee” season.

But the runners-up also walked away as winners as Alex Newell, 18, and Lindsay Pearce, 20, each scored two-episode guest spots on the wildly popular show.

If you missed out on the first season, currently is accepting online auditions for the second season of “The Glee Project.”
