Ryan Gosling: Street Fightin’ Man

By Adam Frazier Yes, you know him from “The Notebook” and “Crazy. Stupid. Love,” but did you know Ryan Gosling spends his spare time as a man of the people? He’s out on the streets, a veritable superhero in his own right, breaking up fistfights!

A video posted on YouTube (below) shows Gosling breaking up a scuffle in the streets of New York City. The fight seems to have started over a work of art, as one of the men holds a painting while trying to avoid punches from the other.

Several pedestrians attempted to stop the fight (and by attempt I mean they stood around and did nothing) but it took Gosling to get the job done. Gosling steps in-between the two men and gently leads them onto the sidewalk.

The altercation was caught on amateur video by onlookers, who can be heard screaming once they recognize who they’re filming. “That’s the guy from the movies!” one shouts. When the woman shooting the video finds out it’s that guy from “The Notebook,” this rather mundane street fight makes her day.

Gosling, who resides in the New York City, is currently filming “The Place Beyond the Pines.” What’s next, Jack Nicholson walking old ladies across the street? Or maybe Letterman will take up volunteer firefighting?
