Steven Soderbergh adds Cody Horn to stripper film “Magic Mike”
By Adam Frazier
Hollywoodnews.com: Cody Horn has joined the cast of Steven Soderbergh’s “Magic Mike,” the male stripper drama based on the experiences of actor Channing Tatum, who also stars in the film.
Horn is the daughter of Warner Bros. President & COO Alan F. Horn and has recently starred in FX’s “Rescue Me.”
The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which reports that Horn will play the sister of an up-and-coming male dancer played by Alex Pettyfer (“Beastly”), whose character is based on Tatum.
Tatum, who is also producing, will appear as the film’s titular character — a mentor to the dancer played by Pettyfer and the love interest of Horn’s character.
Soderbergh’s film is also set to star Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer (“White Collar”), Joe Manganiello (Alcide from “True Blood”) and actress Riley Keough (“The Runaways”).
Actress Demi Moore is also rumored to be involved to the project. Let’s hope “Magic Mike” is secretly a spin-off of her 1996 classic, “Striptease.”
