Jonah Hill joins Ben Stiller’s “Neighborhood Watch”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn’s sci-fi/comedy “Neighborhood Watch” is getting a little superbad.

Jonah Hill has signed on to the high-concept comedy, which follows a pack of suburban dads who start a neighborhood watch club just to get a little time away from their families, then must contend with an alien invasion. Hill, according to THR, will play Vaughn’s “sidekick,” who the trade says will “constantly embellish his past to include a rough and dark side.”

Hill joins recently cast Rosemarie DeWitt in the ensemble, which will be directed by The Lonely Island standout Akiva Schaffer. “Neighborhood Watch” expects to film in Georgia in the fall. As for Hill, he’ll be seen in “Moneyball” with Brad Pitt in a few weeks, then headlines a “21 Jump Street” remake next year.
