Kristen Stewart and “Snow White” at Pinewood

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Kristen Stewart’s Snow White has found her enchanted forest, and it’s located in Britain’s legendary Pinewood Studios.

The filming facility announced in an official release today that Rupert Sanders’ alternate take on the classic fairy tale has set up shop and is ready to get down to work. “The crew has started to construct some fantastic sets on the Studios’ backlot, as well as on some of its world famous stages,” the statement revealed.

Stewart plays the lead alongside “Thor” brute Chris Hemsworth in a version that appears to ramp up the action. They’ll be aided by Charlize Theron as the evil queen and “Pirates of the Caribbean” co-star Sam Clafin as a prince enchanted by Stewart’s heroine.

ComingSoon quotes Andrew Smith, Group Corporate Affairs Director at Pinewood, as saying, “We’re delighted to be hosting Universal once again for its latest project, ‘Snow White and the Hunstman.’ The sets and costumes look fantastic, and I am continually struck by the talented and skilled craftsmen and women currently working in the UK film industry.”

We have to wait until next year to see “Huntsman,” which opens everywhere on June 1, 2012.
