Kim Kardashian Walk of Fame star? “Hell to the No!”

By Sean O’Connell Now that Kim Kardashian’s done throwing the “Wedding of the Century” (for those who’ve already forgotten Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal nuptials), I guess fans can begin booking airfare for Los Angeles to attend K.K.’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, right?

Not so fast.

A post on the Facebook for the Walk of Fame confirmed that Kardashian’s chances of landing a star for her celebrity are slim.

“Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No!” someone posted.

Not very professional. Was that an intern who posted that? Anyway, it triggered an official response from Ana Martinez, vice president for media relations and producer for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, who said, “It’s just not on the radar for us right now.”

Honorees must meet three criteria: awards and honors in entertainment; philanthropic work; longevity in the field; and the willingness to agree to the ceremony and pay $30,000 for the star’s installation and upkeep on the street.

That’s not to say Kardashian won’t get those at some point in her career. She’s extremely young, and anything’s possible. But so long as Kim’s only known as a reality TV starlet at this point isn’t helping her cause.
