Marisa Miller joining Ryan Reynolds for “R.I.P.D.”

Hollywoodnews.com: Rosie Huntington-Whitely did it for “Transformers.” Brooklyn Decker did it for Adam Sandler’s “Just Go With It.” Models have been making the move to acting for years. Now Marisa Miller’s giving it a shot.

The Victoria’s Secret model and Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl has agreed to join Ryan Reynolds in the new movie “R.I.P.D.,” a supernatural cop adventure about spirits who fight for justice as members of the Rest In Peace Department.

Robert Schwentke directs the project, which has cast Jeff Bridges as Reynolds’ ghostly partner and Miller as “his human avatar, the form humans see when Bridges’ character is in his earthly form,” THR reports. The model has appeared on episodes of “Entourage” and CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother,” but this would mark her feature-film debut.

Kevin Bacon and Mary-Louise Parker also are in the cast. The film begins shooting soon, with an eye on a June 28, 2013 release date.
