“Dancing With the Stars” confirms Kristin Cavallari, Nancy Grace, Chaz Bono, more

By Sean O’Connell ABC confirmed the competitors for the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars” Monday night, listing a few names that might have sounded familiar to those who paid attention to spot-on Internet rumors making the rounds yesterday afternoon.

CNN talking head Nancy Grace, for example, was confirmed as a contestant. She’ll join Kristin Cavallari; Chaz Bono; Ricki Lake; Carson Kressley; NBA star Ron Artest; Chynna Phillips; Italian TV personality and model Elisabetta Canalis; professional soccer player Hope Solo; David Arquette; Rob Kardashian; and J.R. Martinez, Iraq war veteran and “All My Children” co-star.

Based on the performances of professional athletes in the past, my money has to be on L.A. Laker standout Artest or Solo. What are the odds in Vegas this morning?

The announcement was made during ABC’s Monday night ep of “Bachelor Pad 2.” The upcoming season kicks off with a two-hour premiere on Sept. 19.
