J.R. Martinez opens up about Iraq accident on ‘DWTS’

HollywoodNews.com: J.R. Martinez is working hard on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ but it was his emotional performance last night that touched judges and the audience the most.

Martinez opened up about his Iraq accident where he he drove over a landmine and suffered burns to 40% of his body, states RadarOnline.com. “When I picked my head up, I just froze for a couple seconds to look … to see how bad it was. I was depressed, I had regret … I just thought to myself, ‘I would have been better off if I didn’t survive,'” Martinez revealed about seeing himself for the first time after the accident.

He then danced a rumba to Tim McGraw’s “If You’re Reading This” for troops killed in action.

Martinez finished the night with the second highest score.

Do you think he will go far on the show?
