‘Housewives of NJ’ star insists she wasn’t dissing castmate
HollywoodNews.com: ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Teresa Giudice got a lot of criticism on the show last night for seemingly insulting Caroline Manzo in her latest cookbook, but she is denying she did that.
Giudice insists that she was just trying to be funny and has no hard feelings against Manzo, states UsMagazine.com. “If I meant any harm, I wouldn’t have put a big, beautiful picture of her in there. You don’t see any of Danielle Staub or Kim G. in there, do you?” Giudice defended herself.
However, she seems to have an understanding about why Manzo was actually upset: “I remember when I was writing my very first book proposal, Caroline was also trying to sell her own cookbook. Caroline told me I was doing it wrong, that I wasn’t smart enough, that I didn’t have the right agent, the right co-writer, the right anything … [M]y book got picked up. Caroline’s didn’t. Not one publisher wanted it.”
In the new book, Giudice called Manzo one-sixteenth Italian and as Italian as the Olive Garden.
