Selena Gomez wins restraining order against her stalker

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Hey Thomas Brodnicki. It’s official. Stay away from Selena Gomez.

A judge issued a temporary restraining order Tuesday morning telling Brodnicki to stay at least 100 yard away from the singer-actress after police determined that he threatened her live, CBS News reports.

Gomez told the court in a sworn declaration that she is in “extreme fear” of Brodnicki, who has been diagnosed with a history of mental illness.

TMZ reports that Brodnicki, 46, “told a psychiatrist that he traveled to Los Angeles to meet the star, visited her workplace at least three times and has told people he had conversations with God about killing her.”

Disturbing! The next step will be a Nov. 4 court date, where the restraining order can be extended for up to three years. Two days later, Gomez will be on stage hosting the Nov. 6 telecast of the MTV European Music Awards.
