Samuel L. Jackson named highest-grossing actor of all time

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: So that’s why it says “Bad Mother F—ker” on his wallet.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Samuel L. Jackson is the highest-grossing actor of all time. Jackson’s films reportedly have earned more than $7.4 billion in total grosses. It helps that Jackson, 63, has appeared in more than 100 movies over the course of his multi-decade career.

Which films helped boost Jackson’s tallies?

Well, his involvement in the Marvel superhero blockbusters, from “Thor” ($181M) to “Iron Man 2” ($312M), have boosted his profile. Then there are George Lucas’s “Star Wars” prequels … massive. And Steven Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park” kicked a healthy $357M to his grosses.

And he isn’t slowing down. Jackson has four films on the docket for 2011, and an additional three in 2012. For now. There’s always time for him to add more.
