“The Three Stooges” in first-look photo

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Peter and Bobby Farrelly have been in the headlines this week for two projects we’re eagerly anticipating.

First, there was news that the brothers would like to shoot a “Dumb and Dumber” sequel – the less said about the “Dumb and Dumberer” prequel, the better – and might even get Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels to reprise their roles.

And now we’re getting our first official look at the actors chosen to play “The Three Stooges” in the Farrelly’s long-in-development comedy (above). Sean Hayes (Larry), Will Sasso (Curly) and Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe) co-star as the Stoogie leads, which reaches theaters on April 4. But it won’t be a traiditional biopic, like many believed. Instead, the Farrellys will tell three half-hour episodes, which makes more sense.

The photo above comes courtesy of USA Today. The Farrelly film co-stars Larry David, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Hudson and Jane Lynch, to name just a few.

What do you think? Do they look enough like the original Stooges? Are you looking forward to “The Three Stooges,” or does a “Dumber” sequel sound better? Let us know.
