James Bond 23 officially titled “Skyfall”

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: We no longer have to call it “James Bond 23.”

Sam Mendes’ 007 thriller, which begins production today, officially will be called “Skyfall,” as was revealed this morning by longtime Bond producer Barbara Broccoli.

Daniel Craig returns in the lead role of James Bond, a spy with a license to kill. French actress Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris have been confirmed as Bond girls, while shooting locations listed include London, China, Turkey and Scotland.

The BBC also reveals a minor plot detail, saying that Bond “will see [his] loyalty tested to M, his superior, while espionage headquarters MI6 faces an attack.”

The report also confirms Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney for roles, with Bardem playing the chief villain in “Skyfall.”

The movie will be in theaters next November.
