‘Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder not a fan of holiday shopping Everyone is out enjoying Black Friday today, but one star who won’t be joining in is ‘Vampire Diaries’ star Ian Somerhalder.

Somerhalder recently vented on Twitter about what annoys him most about this holiday, states “What I’m not grateful for is the midnight black Friday crap. Thousands of families are missing out on family time,” Somerhalder commented.

He also added that “stores should be ashamed” because their sales are interrupting the family foundation.

Oh for #&$% sake, no one is holding a gun to some poor family’s head and making them go shopping. It’s voluntary. Preachy much?

it’s easy to preach when you have money and don’t need to try and save to make sure you’re childrens christmas is just as great as yours was. celebrities sure they’re people like us however not really like us at all we would like to donate to causes or quit smoking or even go on some new gluten free sugar free diet but our daily demands of cleaning our homes working that 9 to5 job and spending as much time with our children as we possibly can any maybe because of black friday we have something we can do together even if we don’t have the moneyto buy anything maybe we just wake up early to window shop. i don’t think they intentionally try to be preachy but i don’t think they understand the tiring life the other half lives either. i couldn’t afford even to buy anything that day but it didn’t stop me from waking up early to just do something to feel like a could to pretend and later that morning i worked so i can afford rent and maybe christmas this year but my family sticks together and dreams even if there are no guarantees.
