David Fincher’s eight-minute “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” teaser online, with soundtrack extras – AWARDS ALLEY

By Sean O’Connell
hollywoodnews.com: Now that we’re weeks away from David Fincher’s “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” adaptation reaching theaters, the marketing campaign for what’s shaping up to be a visceral take on Stieg Larsson’s best-seller can kick into high gear.

Not that Sony hasn’t been adequately teasing “Tattoo” to this point. Hide-and-seek competitions originating at the Web site Mouth Taped Shut have led dedicated fans to collectible “Dragon” items.

An eight-minute trailer laying out Larsson’s dense plot was attached to Sony’s features in September and October. It’s now available for streaming, free, via the iTunes store. Follow this link to open a player.

In addition, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ take on Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” featured prominently in early “Dragon Tattoo” teasers, is now available as a standalone track … and it rules. It’s single-handedly getting me pumped for Fincher’s film, which reaches theaters on Dec. 21.

Can you wait?
