Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones in first “Men In Black 3” trailer

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Galaxy defenders Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back, in black, as “Men In Black 3” prepares for its summer 2012 release. The movie has been shooting (and re-shooting) in and around New York City. This morning, the first official trailer dropped. We have it below!

I’m a fan of the “MIB” franchise. I even liked the second one, which takes a beating with moviegoers (for some odd reason). Given how well Smith and Jones play off each other, I’m surprised it took them so long to get the team back together for part three. These are expensive endeavors, however, and with a time-travel component, I’m sure “MIB3” cost a pretty penny.

The premise is still being kept under wraps, but here’s what we can tell from the clip. Agent J (Smith) can’t find his partner, Agent K (Jones), who might be dead. In order to piece together the puzzle, J takes a plunge off the Empire State Building and crash lands in 1969, where he meets … well, I’ll let you figure that out for yourself.

Barry Sonnenfeld returns to direct this third “Men In Black,” which also co-stars Alice Eve, Emma Thompson, Josh Brolin and Rip Torn (yay!).

The sequel has circled a May 25, 2012 release date.
