Prince William, Kate Middleton adopt a puppy

HollywoodNews.com: Prince William and Kate Middleton may not be expecting a baby just yet, but they are getting some parenting practice with their new puppy.

It has now been confirmed by the palace that the royal couple recently adopted a cocker spaniel puppy through a family connection, states UsMagazine.com. The two were reportedly photographed with the dog earlier this month.

The name of the new puppy has not yet been revealed.

What do you think they named the dog?

ADOPTED? ADOPTED dogs come from shelters and rescues – NOT family members who have bred a dog to have puppies. As a rescuer I am getting really angry over the claims that some celebrity ADOPTED a pet, when in fact they acquired them from a breeder, or other sources. The media did the same thing with the Obamas, and it makes me livid! I look into the sad, frightened eyes of hundreds of homeless pets every day, who will be dead within hours or days because there are not enough good homes for them. I clean up the mess that irresponsible humans create. I am NOT going to stand by silently anymore when the news media proclaims that yet another celebrity has ADOPTED a pet, when that is not the truth. ADOPTED DOES NOT MEAN THE SAME THING AS ACQUIRED OR PURCHASED.
