Matt Lauer allegedly ready to re-sign with ‘Today’ for more money

HollywoodNews.com: There have been rumors that Matt Lauer was planning to leave the ‘Today’ show, but now it seems he might be considering staying on if his pay check is increased a bit.

While Lauer is already making $17 million per year, it seems he would consider another go with the show if he gets around $30 million per year, states TMZ. It isn’t know if Lauer was pretending he wanted to leave in order to be offered more money or if he got jealous of a possible replacement.

There were rumors that NBC was looking at Ryan Seacrest to come in and take over which may have encouraged Lauer to reconsider staying with the show a little longer.

Do you think he’ll stay after this year?
