Nicki Minaj on how she wanted to make it as a rapper

HollywoodNews.com: Nicki Minaj has certainly made it in the music industry, and while she is likely happy about this, she is even happier that she made it on her terms.

Minaj recently opened up to ‘VIBE’ magazine about the goal that she had before she started her career as a female rapper, states UsMagazine.com. “I felt like I had something to prove to everyone who said a female rapper could not make an album unless she was talking about her p-ssy. And so I went above and beyond to prove that I could not talk about sex and not talk about my genitalia and still have a successful album,” Minaj commented.

Minaj’s second album, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,’ will be released on April 3rd.
