Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie engagement supported by gay rights group

HollywoodNews.com: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie famously claimed they would not wed until everyone could legally get married, but now that they are engaged, this claim is being questioned.

And while some think they are backing away from their statement, they do have the support of a gay rights group, states TMZ. Rebekah Orr, Communications Director for Equality California, commented that the group supports their engagement and future marriage even though gay marriage is not legal everywhere.

“Marriage is something that says ‘we’re a family’ in a way that nothing else can … No one has to deny that for themselves or their family to prove they are an ally and supporter of equality,” Orr commented.

What do you think about them getting engaged?
